In My Trichster Diaries, the reader is able to reflect on and write about their own trichotillomania and journey to self-acceptance. But that’s not all. Barbara weaves in handwritten notes, trichster tips, poetry, and much more.
A must-have for anyone finding themselves hair pulling, no matter how long you've been pulling or how much you pull. I feel so seen and understood while going through this journal and that in itself is worth it!
I started this journal a few months ago and it has been nothing but a wonderful experience! It is so easy to go through. It's full of amazing questions, games, quotes, and other activities.
This journal uniquely helps you understand your experiences with trich better. It has equipped me to talk about it when I need to or want to. It is thought-provoking, encouraging, inspiring, fun, and important.
This journal has brought me self-awareness which has turned into self-acceptance. Just go for it, you can thank me later!
Barbara Lally is one of my favorite BFRB advocates. She isn’t afraid to be vulnerable about her Trichotillomania by bringing awareness through her writing and Instagram @TheTrichsterDiaries, where she talks with others about their BFRBs. To the point of this review, I love this journal so much since it is centered on guiding you through prompts, word searches, poems, quotes, and more to inspire you on your BFRB or Body-Focused Repetitive Behavior journey. It’s so hands-on that it feels like my own personal diary to myself of my Trich! Just a lovely interactive book altogether.
